Known in folklore as the "Lake Demons of the Baran'osh," the northern basikisks are large serpentine beasts that haunt the dark water lakes of the northern territories. Said to feed on the souls of the living, it is believed that these fast-moving, cold-blodded creatures are attracted to the warmth of the human spirit.
Found alone, or in shcools of as many as 300, basilisks are most at home in water, but have been known to venture onto land if their hunger is great enough.
Measures 5¼ inches at highest point on head (nose); 6 1/8 inches at highest point on raised wing. Articulated at neck and shoulders. Base of tail is bendable, wings are removable.
